Shaman's Cave

Shaman's Cave

Inspired by an ancient fire ring in the back of a secret cave, in a canyon with no name, hidden deep in the desert and the Shaman who no doubt lived there based on the artifacts I found buried therein.

This is man tea. Embodying the spirit and essence of the untamed sacred male. Wild, resourceful, and wise. Like peated scotch, pipe tobacco, and the smell of a fresh hunt cooking on open flame, there are just some things that resonate with the male experience.
This tea is no exception. In fact, the tea chosen for this special blend was the favorite of explorer, hunter, and statesman, President Theodore Roosevelt. No doubt there is something reminiscent and visceral about the smell of smoke to a man. Something that speaks to his primitive nature, both physical and spiritual, and celebrates the very survival of his lineage.

For this tea we started with specially sourced Lapsang Souchong (smoked black tea), to this we added black currents (traditionally paired with wild game), and dried black cherries. For ethereal connectivity and divination rose petals are added. The blend is then cased and sealed with organic and proprietarily blended extracts and essence for several weeks.

Ingredients: Lapsang Souchong Tea, dried currants, dried black cherries, rose petals, organic and proprietarily blended essence, and extracts.
Flavor/Aroma: Smells like: Smoked campfire leather soaked in Black Cherry Tobacco. Tastes like: Smoked dark fruit liquor aged in a leather bota bag. Feels like: That one time you peeked into your grandfather’s secret chest of life treasures filled with pipes, journals, pocketknives, watches, and coins.

Incredible

Shamans Cave like the other tea I have purchased is incredible. Smoky aroma emanates from the bag immediately when you open it. The black currants and cherry give a rounded contrast to the smoked tea leaves. Multiple layers to this blend. Its like drinking a campfire on a well needed get away. I plan on buying more for when I harvest my quail and my guavas are ripe to make a sauce for them. I believe they will pair well together along with homemade cheese and bread grilled over an open flame. Finished off with a nice bowl of pipe tobacco and wee dram of blended Scotch. This is a man's heaven in a small pouch that Cory and Alicia have crafted. Top shelf product guys thanks for everything, you've outdone yourselves.

A Gift from a Cowboy & his lovely witch

This Little Indian traded some tobacco, corn and quartz with an Urban Cowboy in the Arizona desert for a package of this fine tea. Its rugged yet delicate cup of tea. I can totally see myself and some friends enjoying this tea around a summertime campfire at night. Just needs an acoustic guitar and a blazing inferno of pine cones. In short This tea is great, there’s a certain “Je ne sais quoi” quality that makes it so appealing. Perhaps it’s the smoky notes on the nose that fills both heart & mind with warm and cozy thoughts. It’s like drinking memories of you and your friends gathered around a campfire sharing only your best stories. The smoky aroma invites you to bring your friends in close and your lover closer. As you take a sip, your nostrils are overcome by the robust smoky notes with bursts of sweetness. The complexity of the sweetness is not lost in the smoke. The smoke enhances the flavors, the caramelized wood sugars is peppered with notes of dried cherries and currants. They strut across your palate & the tannic finish keeps you thirsting for more, as the phrase “just one more sip” plays in the back of your mind like a broken record. Your belly yearns as it cries out “more more more”. With each sip the warmth of the tea fills your belly and soul. This is a very versatile tea, you can enjoy with close friends and family or drink it when you’re missing them. Highly recommended for pondering late night schemes on how to take over the world. ***However due to the robust nature of the smoke. I would suggest that folks use a specific teapot or wash it very well. I have noticed a bit of smoky aroma and flavor left behind. C’est la vie!
