Brigid's Cup
Brigid’s Cup
Just as Brigid waited for her youthful Sun God who was steadily returning to her after the winter solstice, People would patiently endure the last of the cold winter months.
During this early February celebration Candle wheels, grain dollies and sweet cakes could be found in every home as people employed sympathetic magick to lure back the Sun once again.
Brigid’s Cup combines the subtle green tannins of Sencha with the earthiness and body of roasted barley. Slivered almonds and organically sourced, proprietarily crafted natural almond extracts are added to round out this most wholesome and comforting cup.
Nourishing, grounding, and naturally lower in caffeine than black tea or coffee, this makes for a perfect mid-morning or after dinner tea.
Although Brigid’s Cup fits solidly into the green tea category, we recommend brewing at a little higher temperature than a straight green tea infusion. We have found that around 200 degrees affords the perfect temperature to open the grains. If you would like a stronger and more tannic cup infuse longer.
We personally enjoy this so much we have made a decaf version for drinking in the evening before bed.
